Below you'll find our shop policies outlining the details of repair and duplication.
Digicam Conditions of Repair
Digicams are extremely difficult to repair because of their highly technical nature and require time consuming circuit diagnosis techniques. For that reason most if not all of reapir cost is labor. Average repair costs: $40 to $105.
Digicams may need to be sent to our electronics specialist.
Equipment evaluation, 1 to 2 days, may include several estimates of possible causes of problem. Exact cause of problem may not be able to be determined until service on equipment is begun and may change from original evaluation.
New problems are sometimes found after original problem has been repaired, requiring parts not previously estimated.
If equipment, while being serviced, needs new parts, customers may reject new costs and be refunded amounts over evaluation fee.
Units returned unrepaired for any reason are not warranted to be functioning same as prior to approval.
Repairs may take anywhere from 1 week to 6 weeks to complete, usually depending on parts availability.
90 day warrantees cover only labor and parts replaced, additional parts needed are responsibility of customers.
If problems occur after 90 days, discounted repair will be offered, at our discretion, usually 35% to 50%. Sorry, no exceptions.
Digicams will be held for 90 days, unless special circumstances apply. Afterwards we reserve the right to dispose of equipment any manner we choose. Not responsible for tapes left in camcorder.
